Job Description 

Bring your leadership, drive and sales experience to a leader in the financial services industry. Sovereign Bank is seeking results-driven, sales management professionals with successful sales records to partner with our Branch Managers to carry out all branch duties and play a crucial role in building and retaining Sovereign’s client base.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Builds regression models with clear understanding of statistical and economic theory to ensure validity. Performs fair lending analysis which includes but is not limited to loan denials, pricing variances, and census tract loan penetration using origination platform/Fair Lending and CRA Wiz/other report engine software to evaluate lending performance relating to protected classes.

Designs customized reports including graphs, charts, summarizations that are supported by detailed documentation for management review.  Interprets statistical results and summarizes in narrative format including making recommendations to improve performance.  Reports will be suitable for review by Senior Management and bank regulators.

Partners with business lines to understand criteria upon which statistical models will be based to track key performance indicators of fair lending.

Designs reports to track Sovereign Bank lending performance to internal goals and peers.

Maintains proficiency in software tools necessary to complete the requisite analysis (loan origination platforms [CMSI-Unifi-AFS] and Fair Lending/CRA Wiz/SAS/other.  Collaborates with software vendors as needed.

Must be knowledgeable in Fair Lending regulation and stay abreast of changes to incorporate changes into analytical approaches and methodologies.

Performs matched pair file reviews based on audit sampling methodologies and regulatory minimums.

      Job Requirements 

      WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
      College degree preferred and two years of financial services experience. 

      Strong communication skills are required, both oral and written. Background in compliance with emphasis in securities, wealth management or investment advisory experience a plus. 

      CIP/AML Documentation Review 

      Training for team members on policies and procedures and new regulations. 

      Special projects 

      Compliance testing for Wealth Management and Private Bank Lending to include all aspects of compliance review and testing to include, best execution testing, soft dollar review, account coding, risk matrix and assessment and process review.
