Service Manager

HO Penn, the Caterpillar dealer for lower NY and all of CT has an exciting, rare opportunity for a Service Manager in our Holtsville, NY branch.  This is a great opportunity for career minded individual to get in the door of our growth-oriented company.

Reporting to the General Service Manager, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

• Effectively utilize resources to sell and deliver superior service and generate growth through service sales 

• Manage unionized service department operations to maximize resources and minimize expense while maintaining a safe work environment.  Manage forecasting and budgeting for the department

• Hire and develop staff. 

• Maintain buildings and grounds

Qualifications include:

4 year college degree or trade school preferred.  Will consider equivalent work experience

Minimum  five years experience in a union environment directly supervising (including hiring, firing and performance management) a minimum of 20 employees is required.

Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Understanding of budgeting and forecasting

Clean, valid driver’s license
