Cargotec Solutions LLC, / Kalmar RT Center, the leading supplier of container and handling equipment and services, has immediate openings for two (2) Global Supplier Quality Engineers. We are a global supplier of Port and Terminal equipment used in the movement of cargo and trailer containers and Rough Terrain Vehicles used in the military with domestic annual sales in excess of $500 million.
Location: Positions are located in Ottawa, KS, which is in Northeast Kansas, approximately 20 minutes south of Lawrence, KS or 45 min. SW of Kansas City and in Cibolo, TX, which is 25 miles from San Antonio, TX. .
Reports to: SQE Manager, Bjuv, Sweden
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Have a close interface with Purchasing and SQA regarding production and process related questions.
· Work to continuous develop our Suppliers within the identified Supplier Development areas such as, welding, machining and painting
· Support Sourcing and suppliers in production and process technical questions
· Support when new suppliers or products shall establish to investigate capability, capacity and technical knowledge, drawings and tooling questions.
· Support Sourcing in trouble shooting according to production, process related issue.
· Project participation (APQP)
· Train and support Suppliers in welding, painting, machining and other production related activities.
· Support SQA according to production, process related quality questions
· Travelling 100-120 days per year (25% - 30% travel)

Requirements
Education/Experience required:
· BS Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Process Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing operations as welding, machining and painting. Will consider combination of education/work experience in lieu of degree. Preference will be placed on candidates having heavy steel structure production process expertise.
· Documented experience from welding, machining and painting in heavy structures.
· High competence in welding and painting standards and requirement.
· Good experience from start up production and/or move production.
· Structured and take own initiatives
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English, other language skills beneficial
