Health & Safety Coordinator

Principal Responsibilities

• Maintain, manage, and facilitate all safety processes/programs and ensure they adhere and meet all corporate-mandated requirements.

• Coordinate and implement all safety programs and legal requirements to ensure the facility is in total compliance with any external tracking agency office. 
• Develop, manage, and implement all health & safety policies and programs to include, but not limited to, safety committee, lock-out/tag-out, welding, hot work, confined space, etc.

Daily / Periodic Tasks

• Monitor and enforce all safety policies, rules, and regulations to ensure all personnel are in compliance.

• Report all accidents in appropriate systems and follow up on corrective actions to completion.

• Conduct annual Safety awareness training with all associates and new hires.  
• Maintain all Health and Safety related records.
• Ensure all forklift operators are properly trained and are following all written procedures.
• Maintain close relationship with all safety governing agencies to ensure all expectations are met.

   

• Highschool or specialized training (6 mo- 2 years) or a Associates degree required. 

• OSHA 40 hour course preferred

• MS Office proficiency

• Forklift “train the trainer" certified
