SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
Strong leadership skills, consultative selling skills, impressive communication skills, planning, negotiations, problem solving ability, and strong interpersonal skills are required. Strong understanding of Technology, IT and Telecommunications applications knowledge. Sales and proposals consist of mission critical customer applications and product solutions in data, Internet, voice and transport services.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Travel required - 35 to 50 percent.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience is required.
- One year minimum experience in positioning, managing and selling to strategic client organizations or in the Fortune 1000 business enterprise segment.
- Proven ability to manage large corporate customers at the C level and Executive Management level.
- Experienced in strategic/consultative sales techniques, cost analysis-based selling skills, and service improvement planning.
- Operational understanding of LAN/WAN technology, telecommunications, IT applications at the corporate customer level.
- Experience in forecasting and account strategy skills.
- Operational understanding and/or expertise regarding ordering, provisioning, billing and regulatory processes associated with telecommunications customers and products.
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet software, and presentation software.
- College Degree Preferred in Business, Communications or Marketing.
