We are looking for an experienced, professional Sales Hunter to join our team in Farmingdale, NY. This representative will support the Bronx, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Direct ownership of revenue generated in geographic region through account management for the sales and lease of all asset types
- Maintain and grow share at existing client base in assigned geographic territory
- Identify and secure new business growth opportunities in assigned geographic territory through lead/target qualification
- Maintain and update pipeline database
- Develop and implement key account plans and strategies
- Manage project sales process
- Manage and coordinate resources to complete sales process for in fleet and custom projects
- Compile all necessary information and approvals for customer sales agreements and proposals
- Solidify vendor relationships
- Gain comprehensive understanding of competition in assigned sales territory
- Mentor Inside Sales Team for career development and succession planning
- Obtain state licensing (where required)
- Maintain, update, submit all administrative reports
- Exemplify teamwork and positive attitude with branch/regional personnel
- Customer contact/assistance - site visits
- Compile leases/quotes for custom and complex business
- Qualify leads and opportunities
- Handle walk in transactions for complexes
- Project site visits
Requirements
Territory Sales Manager's Requirements Include:
- BS/BA degree required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of three to five years outside sales experience or equivalent training or experience.
- Construction/industrial sales experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in developing long-term customer partnerships (customer acquisition, development and retention).
- Demonstrated skills in teamwork effectiveness across all functional areas.
- Creative, motivated individual with aggressive selling and negotiation skills.
- PC proficiency in a Windows environment. Experience with Salesforce.com would be a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent ability to multi-task and manage personal productivity
- 25-50% travel
- Driver's License.
