POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Research Methodologist helps ensures that SSI’s product and methodology sounds as well as state of the art.  The Research Methodologist is an integral part of the knowledge team, working alongside the Knowledge Directors on the development of new products and the refinement and testing of existing ones.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Design and execute research-on-research studies.

 

  • Write white papers, locate and review academic literature and give papers at industry conferences.

 

  • Provide consulting services to our clients and our account managers, helping them to design research that is effective and accurate.

 

  • Assist Directors with special projects and initiatives.

 

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Research and/or Statistics.
  • M.A. a plus, but not required.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.

 

Specialized Skills:

  • Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • Experience using SPSS or statistical software.

  • Familiarity with telephony and telephone sampling.

  • Strong communication skills including interest and experience in working directly with clients.

 

Communication Skills:

  • Demonstrates highest level of ability in all aspects of communications: written, oral, listening and expressing ideas.

  • Strong presentation skills. 

 

Analytical Skills:

  • Excellent problem solving ability.

  • Ability to analyze qualitative data.

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and deduction skills.

  • Ability to work both effectively independently and harmoniously with a team.
