Sales Engineer –Construction Sales

 

Stable, growth-oriented, customer-focused leading company specializing in highway and commercial road paving and repair seeks a self-motivated, proven producer.  The successful candidate will have a history of building new client relationships, maintaining excellent customer service, and surpassing quotas.  Knowledge and experience of current highway and road construction estimating techniques is required.  Our reputation is derived from our quality service, dedication and commitment to our customers.  Compensation structure includes a liberal commission structure to earn $40,000 to $100,000 annually.  This position reports to the President.

 

Essential Qualifications and Duties:

 

  • Establish commercial contacts with road surface repair and paving requirements/needs;
  • Ability to estimate jobs applying established company pricing standards;
  • Ability to create, maintain and execute a successful territory sales plan;
  • Verifiable successful outside commissioned sales experience of similar sized company in the same industry;
  • Initiative and ability to generate own leads as well as excellent follow up on company furnished accounts;
  • Ability to initiate and control sales processes with new clients;
  • Successful experience with trade shows, conventions, professional organizations, industry meetings, etc. in building relationships and business;
  • Project a positive presence in the bidding process and negotiations to maximize revenues and gross margins;
  • Organize, detail and process oriented and a team player.
