Job Description

Texas Specialty Hospital Dallas, a 66 bed, JCAHO accredited acute hospital is searching for a talented Chief Nursing Officer to lead our nursing team. Our facility is dedicated to providing high quality care to the medically complex patient (ventilator dependent, wound care, cardiopulmonary, post surgery, specialties among others).

Responsibilities:

·Supports and practices the philosophy, objectives and standards of the Department of Nursing. Participates in the revision of these as necessary to ensure the highest quality of care delivered to all patients.

·Coordinates interdisciplinary patient care management efforts.

·Assist in the development of the department budget, monitor expenses and stay within budget.

·Plan and facilitate meetings and committees to address patient care issues; proactively handle survey and/or standards of care issues

·Ensure that adequate nursing staff are available, based on facility and census requirements

·Assumes full responsibility for the operation and management of the facility in the temporary absence of Facility CEO as directed by the CEO.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

·Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator. Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.

·Two to Three years of experience as a CNO, Assistant CNO or equivalent supervisory nursing experience in an acute care setting are required.

·Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required.

·Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN), BSN (Masters Degree or working towards Masters Degree) with a valid TX state RN license.
