Relocation is provided and travel is required occasionally.

Overview
Dow Corning currently seeks an E-Business Project Leader for a position at our Midland, Michigan facility. This position offers the incumbent professional challenge and a high degree of responsibility and independence.

TASKS
Provide leadership in delivering e-business projects in a time driven, effective manner.

Create the project plan and reporting progress against contracted milestones, budget and goals outlined in the plan.

Act as the primary business manager and change agent for the assigned project.

Develop project plans including time and cost estimates.

Provide formalized, continuing work direction and leadership to assigned project teams.

Track, monitor and communicate project progress against the project plan, requirements, quality measures, standard process and milestones.

Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.

THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO
Work independently, with excellent time management and judgment in prioritization skills.

React rapidly to evolving issues and dynamic scheduling situations with utmost discretion.

Be a team player in working with peers, members of executive management, department members sponsors and key stakeholders and possess ability to proactively anticipate needs.

Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Problem Sensitivity- The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • The candidate must have at least a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Management, Business, or related degree.
  • The candidate must have at least Eight (8) years experience leading / supervising an organizational team.
  • The candidate must have expertise in Agility, Team Integration, Logistics, Effectiveness, Leadership, Business Acumen, Finances, and Process Orientation.
  • It is desirable that the candidate expertise in Stage Gate Process Knowledge of Tools and Techniques.
  • It is required that applicants must have expert knowledge and proficient skill level in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Excel.
  • It is desirable that the candidate have experience, training, or expertise in Six Sigma.

WORK CONDITIONS

The individual in this environment often works at a fast pace with minimum to moderate supervision. The requirements of the business may cause frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and see them through completion.
