Description

Plastics manufacturing company has an immediate need for an energetic and hands on HR Generalist/Payroll Clerk who will serve as the company’s multi-location Corporate Payroll/HR designate.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing is a primary responsibility (ADP PayExpert & EZ Labor)

  • Maintain employee records and process all personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, attendance and termination.

  • Respond to employment inquiries, coordinate posting and advertising of positions, screen applications, conduct phone screens, ensure applications and reference information is complete, conduct reference checks and extend offers of employment.

  • Support plants in HR related issues in their day to day operations

  • Respond to unemployment inquiries and represent company in unemployment hearings

  • Prepare employment verifications

  • Prepare and ensure that employee accident forms and supporting data are complete and filed with workers compensation agent, and tracked on OSHA reporting forms.

  • As assigned, write and update substantial sections of the associate handbook, supervisor handbook and other compliance communication documents.

  • Ensure that all policies and programs are applied consistently across the organization.

  • Work closely with plant personnel to support and drive companywide programs.

  • Maintain confidential files.

  • Support employee benefit management activities including health, dental, life and long term disability insurance, including processing enrollments, making changes, auditing invoices, and responding to employee inquiries

  • Administering 401k plan.

  • Initiate and administer COBRA benefits and tracking the dependent eligibility for health/dental insurance.

  • Other projects/duties as required by the Director of HR.

Requirements
  • Prior ADP PayExpert & EZ Labor is a strong plus
  • Relevant Bachelors’ degree required·
  • Demonstrated strength in workload prioritization.
  • Possess strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving, and time management skills are a must.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets and formulas]
  • Knowledge to prepare and edit documents using Word and Powerpoint
