Outsourcing Project Manager

Piper Plastics, Inc. an industry leader in Polymer Engineering, machining and fabrication has an immediate opening for an Outsourcing Project Manager.  Piper Plastics provides OEM parts and assembly services to the medical, semiconductor and other hi-tech markets. 

Key Job Responsibilities:

     Manage the outsourcing of precision CNC machined plastics parts.  

     Find and Develop long-term outsourcing manufacturing relationships.

     Interface with appropriate departments in order to update outsourcing activities.

     Ensure that company objectives, such as outsourcing goals, production
     scheduling, on time delivery, and quality control are maintained.

Skills Required

       Self starter with proven prospecting experience.

       Excellent oral and written communication.   

       Mechanical Aptitude.

       Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.

       Demonstrated project management skills.

Education/Training:

      B.S. or equivalent business experience.

      A minimum a 5 years manufacturing experience.

      A minimum of 5 years project management experience.

Occupational/Technical Knowledge:

      Experience with communicating to all levels of the supply chain.

      Strong ability to cultivate and qualify potential out sourcing companies.

      Experience using Microsoft products .
