Job Description

Under general direction, participate in high level technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software.  Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions.  Provides recommendations for application and system improvements.  Has a strong software development knowledge using a variety of technologies.  Works with peers, senior staff, and business analyst to create projects specification and determine implementation details.  Perform risk/benefit and feasibility analysis on potential future projects.  Expected to participate in complete project lifecycle up to and including project completion.  Participates in the development of software user manuals.  May act as team leader on less complex projects.  Assists in training less experienced software development staff.
Job Requirements
  • Under graduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or Engineering/ Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of total development experience
  • 3+ years Web Application experience, .NET, C#
  • Experience with Agile/XP/Scrum.  TFS experience a plus. 
  • Extensive knowledge of object oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge of design patterns and best practices.  Networking knowledge (Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL/ Experience with Oracle – PL/SQL, DB2 SQL a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
