Description

SUMMARY

This position supervises the assembly and test area of an electro-mechanical production site. It provides Lean Manufacturing leadership by analyzing, designing and implementing manufacturing and business process improvements that increase capacity, reduce lead-time, improve production rate and improve process flow and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

BS Degree in Engineering: Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related field
5+ years production experience in a fast paced mixed volume production environment
3+ years supervision of 15 or more employees
Understanding of material flow, capacity planning and cycle/lead times
Process improvement experience (Lean or Six Sigma)
Computer skills a must
Excellent communication skills
Experience with Machine Shop & Shipping/Receiving a plus

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure execution of daily operations
Establish goals, standards and objectives
Establish production metrics and personnel statistics
Coordinate with other departments to meet OTD and other goals
Respond to production problems (i.e. root cause/corrective action)
Communicate with customers, vendors and employees
Handle scheduling, budgeting and personnel management for department
Ensure adherence to company policies and work instructions
