Global pharma leader seeks MD for Senior Oncology Medical Affairs
Our client, one of the most successful global pharmaceutical companies boasting the premier oncology group in the industry, is looking for a senior-level industry MD to lead global medical affairs strategy and implementation for specified oncology compounds. This is a high-visibility position with a company boasting one of the most robust pipelines in the industry.

Responsibilities:
- GMA representative on the Global Brand Team, the International Project Team, and the International Clinical Team
- Provides clinical leadership and accountable for global medical affairs strategy and life cycle management clinical development plans, brand optimization strategy plan, brand related medical information, clinical communication and publications (with sci affairs group), brand-related input into therapeutic area and disease area strategies.
- Provide medical/scientific training to relevant stakeholders regarding the brand.
- Coordinates global program, working in close collaboration with Regions and CPOs.
- Resource planning and management of GMA program, including budgeting.
- Provide clinical leadership in interactions with external stakeholders (medical experts, advisory boards, patient advocacy groups), and internal stakeholders (Research, Development, Marketing, Regions, Countries)
- Accountable for talent development of direct reports: recruiting, developing, performance management.
- Contributes to cross-functional initiatives
Requirements
Requirements:
- MD required. Board certified hematologist/oncologist preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of oncology required.
- Must have >5 years of demonstrated leadership and accomplishment in clinical trials and/or medical affairs (planning, executing, reporting clinical trials, leading medical affairs activities) in academia/pharmaceutical industry.
- People management experience and matrix management experience required.
Our client is offering a very attractive compensation package, which includes a base salary in the low to mid 200K, target bonus, long term incentive, full relocation package, and the benefits package (medical, dental, 401K, etc.) is among the best in the industry.
