Job Description

Presently, our Metro New York office is looking to add individuals with expansive Manufacturing experience to its Project Professional team at the Controller level.  This team within SEG is comprised of accomplished project consultants who are responsible for superior service delivery in the areas of corporate accounting, finance and reporting. These individuals support our client's initiatives by serving as a reliable member of their extended team.  They are current on industry practices and trends, have effective managerial experience, demonstrate strong communication ability, have strong client service orientation, think strategically, and have a high level of professionalism and business acumen.

 

Candidates for this position should be prepared to speak to and perform the following criteria:

 

Responsibilities:

·          Ensure a superior level of client service

·          Establish and monitor client expectations as an extended client resource

·          Innovate by sharing and developing deliverables to achieve client driven results

·          Provide comprehensive client support through hands-on performance and consultation

·          Work collaboratively to anticipate the direction of client business needs

 



Job Requirements

·          Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

·          Minimum 10 years relevant professional experience

·          Public Accounting and Private Industry Experience

·          Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

·          Credentials such as MBA, CIA, and CISA will be given additional consideration.



Ideal candidates will:

·          Assist client in overseeing all financial operations including the month end close process

·          Be hands-on in providing internal and external financial reporting guidance and assistance

·          Have prior exposure and responsibility with budgeting and forecasting models

·          Support the client CFO and where asked will manage client and/or project team members

·          Exhibit leadership traits, strong communication skills and attention to planning, process and detail



Ideal candidates must:

·          Cite relevant experiences in supporting internal/external Manufacturing clients in areas such as:

o         Management/Ownership

§          Mergers & Acquisitions; IPO’s; Leveraged Buyout; Private Equity investment

o         Business Growth and Measured Productivity

§          Start-ups; New Management; Resource Constraints; Turnover; Bankruptcy / Turnaround

o         Compliance and Infrastructure

§          SEC Reporting; Restatements; US GAAP/IFRS; Sarbanes–Oxley; Bank Compliance
