The Senior Director, Center for Teaching Excellence is responsible promoting, enhancing, and assessing teaching effectiveness and student learning. Provides faculty with the appropriate teaching and learning resources; Collaborates with other campus and corporate departments for program development and review; assists individuals and academic units in the design and implementation of student learning outcomes assessment initiatives.
- Conducts reviews of teaching/learning process for the university; develops programmatic recommendations based on the data.
- Consults with individuals on particular areas of concern in teaching and learning, and develops plans and recommendations for enhancing performance.
- Develops and implements evaluation/support strategies related to improving teaching. Oversees and leverages instructional quality assurance function to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Maintains library of teaching resources and materials. Disseminates research and best practices regarding the teaching/learning process to relevant parties.
- Provides reports as required to key internal clients.
- Meets department budget goals by controlling costs for equipment and personnel.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and fairness when administering policies and procedures.
- Participates actively in all relevant University committees, as assigned.
