Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Systems Analyst to participate in various facets of the standard project life cycle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for business requirement decomposition, analysis, design review, testing and documentation. Other duties include data and source system assessment, systems design, and daily issue analysis / resolution.


Primary Responsibilities:
•Devise product functionality based upon customer/vendor input and industry standards
•Create and write product functionality and design specifications
•Document designs and procedures
•Participate in product planning and design meetings
•Consider requirements of and impact to broad areas
•Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory compliance requirements
•Perform unit testing of programmer’s implementation of design
•Document design for use by conversion staff (mapping rules and system operation)
•Develop test plans; test and review new product and documentation
•Research issues; work with developers on re-design or follow up unit testing
•Assist Customer Service with writing release notes and system documentation
•Handle Customer Service questions regarding implementation and/or existing industry requirements and product functionality
•Analyze client issues resulting from design flaws or conversion errors; propose solutions
•May design and deliver training to internal staff and external clients on application changes or functionality of enhancements
•May be asked to carry a beeper or cell to provide support for off-hours production issues
•May conduct ongoing product and resource planning
•Coordinate with other areas of company, third-party product vendors, and customers for product release planning and testing purposes
•Make recommendations for process improvement
•Create and maintain project plans; prepare project status reports as needed
•Prepare sizing/work estimates for assigned enhancements
Requirements Position Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
•Minimum three to four years systems design experience in banking or financial services environment
•This job requires working with and understanding confidential information such as future product plans, product development methods, access to change customer database, access to view customer database and customer contracts
•Ability to read, analyze and interpret banking periodicals, professional/technical journals and technical procedures
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Knowledge of specific banking applications, knowledge of basic programming concepts, knowledge of relational database concepts
•Required travel is equal to less than 25%; some weekend/overtime hours required; office conditions for majority of work time
