International Education Corporation (IEC) , headquartered in Irvine, CA, is a premier private, postsecondary educational corporation. We currently have 10 campuses located in Southern California, Georgia, and Florida. Our mission is to prepare our students for employment in their chosen career by providing industry-validated education and training in a positive and caring environment.
Due to our rapid growth, we have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Admissions Representative at our UEI campus in El Monte, CA.
This position is responsible for new student recruitment into educational programs commensurate with the needs and career goals of prospective candidates. An Admissions Representative is a professional with the ability to sell the value of education.
In this role, the Admissions Representative will qualify, interview, and follow up with students who are planning or changing professional careers.
Requirements
This highly visible customer-focused position involves coordination with the Finance and Education Departments and includes a variety of tasks from intake and counseling and assisting in the students with their commitment to starting and graduating from school.
Requirements Essential Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and/or sales experience preferred.
- Proprietary education admissions experience: preferred
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent at problem solving and conflict resolution
- Able to work with people from a variety of diverse social and economic backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Possess a sincere interest in helping others achieve life goals
- Goal oriented, assertive, results driven, high energy, and highly ethical
- Possess the ability to inspire and motivate
- Ability to demonstrate partnership selling skills, close and overcome objections
- English will be the primary language used; bilingual abilities useful but not required
