Description Position available for a Production Scientist - Chemical Development for a client in the Philadelphia, PA. area.

Position Purpose:
Responsibilities include the manufacture and process development of radioactive drug products for support of clinical and non-clinical studies. Preparation and maintenance of cGMP manufacturing equipment and cGMP production facilities. Execution of manufacturing processes in accordance to applicable regulatory requirements. As necessary support non-clinical radioactive drug product development and manufacturing for preclinical pharmacology studies.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Production of radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and non-clinical use
• Execution and review of batch records
• Preparation of production reagents and components
• Provide quality control support as needed
• Maintenance and cleaning of production and related equipment
• Compliance to regulatory (USP <823>)
• Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical reports
• Maintain a well-organized data filing system
Requirements Required Skills:
2+ years of experience in a cGMP production environment is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of HPLC and other analytical techniques such as LC/MS, GC, and NMR is desirable
• Strong desire to work independently in a highly focused manner
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with pharmaceutical cGMP/GLP, ICH, FDA guidelines desirable but not necessary
• Knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry desirable but not necessary

Educational Requirements:
BS degree or equivalent in a scientific field
