ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Maintain traffic records including electronic data bases
File AES notices in accordance with U.S. Census Bureau instructions. Monitor exports to ensure compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (“ITAR") and Export Administration Regulations (“EAR"). Track shipments against export licenses to ensure that license limits are not exceeded and that timely action is taken to apply for new licenses. Prepare documents such as Invoices, Packing Lists and various import/export documents necessary for domestic and international shipments. Monitor imports to ensure that all products are properly classified in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (“HTS"). Monitor imports to ensure that duty costs are kept to a minimum. Specifically ensures that imports in support of U.S. Government contracts are duty free and that imports of parts that are assembled into product shipped outside of the United States receive the drawback to which Cubic is entitled. Monitor shipments between San Diego and Mexico to ensure compliance with the North American Free Trade Agreement (“NAFTA"). Work with customs brokers and freight forwarders in support of incoming and outbound shipments. Ensure timely notification of operations, program management, contracts and export compliance functions of any significant events in traffic. Monitor freight costs and recommends most efficient and economical transportation consistent with mission. Serve as back up for shipping and receiving specialists and is knowledgeable in military and international packing requirements. Enhances knowledge of federal, state, local and international regulations that govern traffic functions. Enhance knowledge of ITAR and EAR. Work closely with company management at all levels to identify and meet their shipping needs and requirements.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Four year college degree in business or a technical field. Knowledge of ITAR and EAR desirable. Experienced in using Microsoft office suite essential. Experience in ERP or MRP desirable. US Citizenship Required.
