Excelsior College, a leader in the field of alternative higher education and the nation's first nontraditional nursing program, is looking for an internal Nursing Faculty member for the Master's Program within the School of Nursing.  Come work as part of a dynamic team at the largest School of Nursing with over 33,000 graduates.  Work at a College where you can interact with nurse education scholars and clinicians from across the nation daily; where you are not limited by traditional classroom and semester constraints; where examination development and delivery is supported by a full spectrum of nationally known psychometricians; and where course development and delivery is supported by a full array of information technology and instructional design specialists.

The role and responsibilities of the internal faculty general fall into five categories:  Curriculum development, implementation & evaluation; student advisement and facilitation of learning; coordination and administration of courses, assessments and guided learning activities; College-wide and School of Nursing responsibilities; and professional development and community involvement.  The successful candidate will need to work in Albany, New York.  Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications:  A Doctorate degree in nursing is required, (a Master's degree with significant progress toward the doctorate will be considered, however eventual completion of the doctorate is required); success candidate must hold a New York State nursing license; demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication; ability to work with diverse constituencies and staff; and a demonstrated commitment to nontraditional education of adults.
