Instructional Designer - Entry Level Position - On-Site

Anthem College Online, in the North Phoenix area, is looking for someone to join our team in creating cutting edge e-learning. The ideal candidate is creative, and attentive to detail; is well organized, dependable, assertive, and goal oriented; is able to work well independently and as part of a team; is comfortable working in a deadline-driven e-learning environment.

The ideal candidate should also be able to:

• Parse college level content from subject matter experts into e-learning format
• Coordinating audio recordings for course development
• Serve as go-between for curriculum developers, subject matter experts, and graphic designers
• Incorporate instructional design standards into all courseware
• Have familiarity with writing for e-learning courses
• Meet deadlines and track progress milestones
• Maintain project schedule and internal course database and files

Requirements:

• Minimum of Bachelors Degree (in English, Writing, Instructional Design, etc. or any related field with a combination of experience) required

• 1-2 years of experience in curriculum development, e-learning or training design

• Proven professional writing capabilities and in-depth knowledge of grammar, writing styles
• Ability to edit materials for clarity, consistency, style, and instructional soundness 
• Ability to adapt materials to an audio/visual online medium with a high awareness of student needs and deadlines
• Ability to apply instructional design standards to multimedia courseware
• Strong attention to detail applicable to quality control work
• Sound multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Solid MS Windows and Office skills

Experience working with the following a plus:

• Learning Management Systems

• Adobe Flash and Captivate

• Adobe Soundbooth or Audition
