Description Local automotive repair and service shop is currently accepting candidates for their Manager in Training (MIT) program for the Tuscon, Arizona suburbs.  Candidates must have 10 + years experience in a similar position in addition to leadership and customer service skills with a self-driven ambitious attitude.  Successful candidates will have the ability to rapidly progress into a leadership position assuming Store Manager responsibilities. 

Our Store Managers are responsible for leading all activities within a shop to achieve positive sales results.  They ensure customer satisfaction and retention through the direction of shop staff in the performance of quality vehicle repair and maintenance services. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Controling costs through such activities as inventory and asset management, controlling outside purchases, implementing preventative maintenance programs for shop equipment;
  • Completing profit and loss responsibilities
  • Ensuring that quality service work is performed on customer vehicles at the first visit
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety procedures. 
  • Leading and managing the human resource at the facility to promote effectiveness of every employee and promoting teamwork within the shop. 
  • Promoting the shop and its services through exceptional customer interactions, making sure the shop is clean and presentable at all times, and by participating in sales promotions applicable to the shop.

  

 

Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years experience in similar position
  • High School Diploma, equivalent or technical degree
  • Candidates must be self-starters with strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to work weekends and some evenings required.
  • Computer skills a must
  • Willingness to relocate
