Antonelli College in Hattiesburg,  Mississippi is looking to expand our faculty in the area of Legal Assisting.  We are seeking a full-time Program Director for the legal assisting program.   Program directors are the leaders of the various programs and as the legal assisting program director, the qualified candidate will be responsible for the following:



  • Teaching approximately 20 hours per week including legal assisting classes; would prefer someone who is qualified to teach other business or general education classes as well
  • Developing lesson plans for all courses taught
  • Maintaining accurate attendance and grade records for all classes taught
  • Advising students about attendance and grade challenges
  • Leading the program by monitoring student attendance, assisting admissions department with program growth ideas, maintaining excellent program retention rates, developing strong program advisory committee consisting of qualified community leaders in the field of study
  • Providing superior customer service to students, faculty members and administrators
  • Participating in all Antonelli College functions and events
  • Attending and participating in departmental meetings, faculty meetings and monthly management meetings
Requirements Requirements
  • Prefer bachelors degree in paralegal studies with five years of experience in the field
  • Prefer teaching experience, but not required
  • Must have strong knowledge of bankruptcy, civil litigation, criminal law, medical law, torts, legal transcription and other facets of legal assisting and have a strong ability to convey information to students
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to work a flexible 40-hour work week including two evenings per week
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Strong presentation skills
