Description
System Developers – Levels I, II, III
The Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking an individual to support development, test, and production environments for web applications. Your focus will be assisting web server administrators and participating in systems development. This position requires a person with excellent team project skills and technical ability as you will be working closely with database administrators, developers, testers, users and troubleshooting execution issues for web applications. Candidates will be expected to support IIS and ASP.Net applications. Experience with IIS is required and Visual Studio (ASP) .Net and security is desired. Experience with SQL Server, testing, writing queries and technical support documentation is considered a plus. Off-hours support will be required for problem resolution and maintenance.

Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
Level I –
General Experience: Three years of experience in the computer programming.
Substitutions Allowed: A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or a related field and one year of experience at or above the level of Systems Developer Trainee may be substituted for the General Experience.
Level II –
General Experience: Six years of experience in the preparation of computer programs.
Substitutions Allowed: College training in Management Information Systems or a related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of four years for a Bachelor's degree.
Level III –
General Experience: Eight years of experience in computer programming and systems analysis.
Special Experience: Two years of the General Experience must have been in the design and development of computer applications. For current employees, this will be interpreted as two years of experience as a Systems Developer II.
Substitutions Allowed: College training in Management Information Systems or a related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of four years for a Bachelor's degree.
A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the one additional year of the General Experience.
