Job Description

Conduct contract negotiations and set up for major Special Market clients (minimum $5 million per year production) Position will do research on revenue opportunities from potential clients, use discretion  as to the value of the opportunity for the brand and be responsible for the submission of RFP’s and listings of Motel 6/Studio 6 locations on client websites.  Position requires effective communication skills and the ability to use independent judgment in regards to B2B sales potential with external clients.   Multi task position requiring basic sales skills combined with strong organization/time management skills.  Candidate must be able to handle variety of duties and tasks with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple priorities.

 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Daily communication with internal/external customers

·         Act as liaison between Sales Department and General Managers at properties

·         Organization and oversight for 1,000+ property bids and RFP’s

·         Maintain accuracy of client files

·         Qualify customers for Special Market sales opportunities and conduct contract negotiations

·         Maintain records in the Goldmine database.

·         Develop spread sheets and assist in compiling quarterly reports

·         Provide support for client listing of M6/S6 locations on their websites

·         Research opportunities for new clients on line

·         Visit external clients when necessary including overnight travel (25%)

·         Interact and communicate with internal and external customers to ensure service needs met

·        Provide other support to department and complete other projects as requested
 
Job Requirements
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Basic selling skills and knowledge of B2B sales
  • Strong organizational/time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Superior skills in accuracy and dependability as well as consistency in work habits
  • Must be proficient in meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Central Reservation System, Goldmine
  • Some overnight travel may be required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales office environment or equivalent
