CTD Systems Engineer
Company Profile:
Teledyne RD Instruments specializes in the design and manufacture of underwater acoustic Doppler products for a wide array of current profiling and precision navigation applications.

General Overview:
This position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager. This person will provide technical expertise and support for the new CTD product line which was recently acquired by TRDI. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, versatile with many skill sets, driven to improve processes with the ability to collaboratively work across the organization as a member of the team. Responsibilities:
Design, analysis and testing of circuitry, software and signal processing algorithms for Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) sensor products.
Analysis of existing products; performance modeling and testing.
Competitive trade studies and technology research.
Support analysis and test needs of other departments.
Support of other product lines and functions as necessary, possibly including projects covered by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or US Department of Commerce regulations.

Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or Physics.
Minimum of 3 years experience developing products using embedded microcontrollers.
Knowledge of analog circuit design and analysis required
Education and/or formal experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques preferred.
Experience in marine instrumentation is highly desired.
Ability to demonstrate project leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with 8-bit microcontrollers (8051 or Microchip PIC processor preferred).
Solid time management skills, ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to work collaboratively on hardware and software and participate in design reviews.
Must be US Person (US Citizen or Green Card holder)
Physical Demands:
Light lifting (up to 50lbs)
Must possess adequate dexterity for modifying or building prototype circuits.
