Account Manager

Midwest Region

 

ChemicoMays is a leading supplier of specialty chemical products, recognized as a leader in providing superior on-site services, product technology, application expertise, process knowledge, chemical monitoring techniques, and overall system cost reduction.

 

ChemicoMays is currently recruiting for an Account Manager in its sales department who has recent experience working for  a specialty chemical company selling to Automotive, Aerospace and industrial manufacturers mainly in the Midwest.   The position will be based in Chesterfield, Michigan and requires approximately 50% travel.  Candidates can live in Northern Indiana or Northern Ohio

 

The candidate will be responsible for growing, maintaining and penetrating specific accounts along with identifying new business opportunities.   In addition, the ability to network within the industry, to develop a strategy to capture market share and suggest and develop product lines, and have knowledge of the specialty chemical industry’s values and the direction in which it is going. 

 

Education/Experience – Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering; chemistry; or other engineering / science fields preferred.  The selected candidate should possess eight (8) plus years of experience selling a broad range of specialty chemicals.   Knowledge of painting and surface cleaning industries preferred.   Additional chemical experience in water treatment, janitorial products and coatings is also desirable.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong analytical and project management skills required.
