Summary Description:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of RMD staff – charge entry, A/R, and payment posting.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and supervise daily workload of all RMD staff
  • Track and ensure production per benchmarks
  • Perform, document and trend regular quality audits of all RMD staff
  • Respond timely to issues and questions from both corporate and Somnia Solutions staff
  • Ensures periodic training of both new and existing RMD employees
  • Collaborates with Medical Records Manager to ensure 100% case/charge capture
  • Assist with system (GE Centricity) maintenance tasks

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in billing support related to Accounts Receivable and Charge Entry functions
  • Liaison to Somnia Solutions for various reports, additions, corrections, etc.
  • Plans, prepares, and revises work schedules and duty assignments according to  department needs, problems, work-loads, and statistical forecasts
  • Verifies completeness and accuracy of subordinates' work, computations, and records
  • Consults with supervisor and other personnel to resolve problems, such as output quality, and work schedules
  • Trains new and current employees in work related and company policies 
  • Computes figures, such as balances and totals accordingly
  • Run end of the day and end of month reports
  • Run productivity and daily A/R reports 
  • Updates provider numbers in billing system
  • Review and Process refunds  
  • Serves as resource and liaison to resolve any reconciling issues   
  • Performs special projects and other necessary billing assignments per request
  • Attends administrative meetings when required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements
  • 5-10 Years of billing experience, all facets
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • 2-3 years experience with training staff
  • Experience with QA, PI, audits
  • Intermediate level word and excel skills
  • Competency in computers and practice management software
  • IDX/GE Centricity experience preferably
  • Experience with multi-state billing a plus
