Description

With minimal supervision, the position provides technical leadership in developing complex solutions for client platform services. The position works with operating systems, client and/or hosting hardware, back office applications, web and application services, network protocols, databases, connectivity services, storage, backup and recovery, and systems management concepts and techniques.

Requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Education: Two (2) year degree from a recognized college with course work in business administration, statistics, computer science or mathematics or one or more of the following professional level certifications: CCNA, MCP, VCP, A+, Network+
  2. Minimum experience: Three (3) years of experience in a related IT field with an emphasis on client engineering, deployment and support. 

Three (3) years of Windows XP, Server 2003 or later OS

Three (3) years of client and server hardware configuration and maintenance.

Two (2) years of DNS, DHCP and Active Directory technologies.

Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft or VMWare virtual technologies.

Two (2) years of experience configuration and deployment of networking devices such as switches (wired and wireless) and routers.

  1. Must be bondable.
  2. Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License.

  

Key Competencies:

  1. Knowledge of web and client server application environments.
  2. Experience with Information Technologies, including Microsoft Operating Systems and Servers, Virtualization, Managed Networking and Routing, VoIP, Remote Access Systems, Computer Hardware, and Networking Protocols and Applications.
  3. Instructional level of knowledge pertaining to client level hardware and network infrastructure and web or client server application environments.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  5. Clearly developed analytical and problem solving skills including business needs and process flow analysis and database and systems design.
  6. Applies sound project management principles and practices, supported with expertise in the use of productivity tools.
