Job Description:

The business intelligence analyst will use data and information to support business processes & operations, decision making, and competitive strategy.  The analyst will use data collected internally by as well as information in the public domain to synthesize concise and relevant reports and recommendations that support the organization’s overall mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of a set of new business intelligence reports and self-serve analytical tools in consultation with the key users of each business group
• Provide valuable insights into communities and services on an adhoc basis
• Interpretation and analysis of key questions posed by business stakeholders

• Apply and improve processes for data capture and reporting to assist in the identification of opportunities and priorities for service development and enhancement
• Evaluate and report program performance statistics
• Conduct outcomes analyses for services, including:

§  Creation of case-studies to support client-targeted materials

§  Outcomes reporting for specific client-supported activities

§  Manage data systems designed to improve overall operational efficiency

§  Supply metrics necessary to support all client-directed marketing efforts

§  Present metrics in verbal and written forms

§  Create and manage automated reports

Business Intelligence Analyst

Requirements of Business Intelligence Analyst:

 Essential Skills & Requirements

§  SQL query language (T-SQL and MySQL)

§  Analytical/logical mindset

§  Strong communications skills (written and verbal)

§  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

§  Experience with relational databases

§  Flexibility to work long hours (exceeding 40 hours per week) when necessary

§  Ability to succeed in a deadline-oriented environment

§  Experience with BI reporting platforms like Business Objects or Cognos

Assets

§  Professional or academic experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries

§  Experience in data analysis that supported sales or marketing initiatives
