Performs loan servicing functions for mortgage loans. Prepare appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the Credit Union’s lending policies and procedures. Analyze and verify the integrity of the loan data.
Establish and maintain escrow accounts. Pay appropriate property taxes, homeowners’ insurance, and private mortgage insurance. Work with third party vendors to collect all documentation regarding property tax tracking and homeowners’ insurance tracking.
Provide accurate payoff and loan verification information to members and other financial institutions for all loans. Perform functions to satisfy mortgage loans and the release of mortgage liens.
Analyze escrow accounts and prepare disclosures and statements as required.
Fund loans, conduct audit process and review files for compliance. Work with third party quality control companies by reviewing report request and shipping mortgage files for their review.
Manage reporting, remitting, and reconciling activities internally and with Secondary Market Investors. Analyze data, research issues and exceptions, and make appropriate changes.
Process daily mortgage loan payments. Reconcile member accounts and general ledgers as instructed by management.
Use mortgage processing software to prepare documents and underwriting documents for real estate loans.
Use loan origination software, Fannie Mae Direct Underwriting software, and document preparation software to enter and update real estate loan information.
