Senior Level Data Architect

Job Description 

The enterprise data architect will play a technical leadership role in the development of an enterprise architect discipline.  The enterprise data architect is responsible for setting the architectural vision, documenting and communicating standards with respect to data and messaging.  The enterprise data architect works closely with senior business stakeholders & the rest of the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure proper business alignment and prioritization of key initiatives.  The enterprise data architect will participate on multiple, technically complex, mission-critical, and/or high-profile data projects or initiatives and provide overall guidance, leadership, and solid execution.  This role reports directly to the vice president, enterprise architecture.

 

  • Must possess strong project leadership skills including the ability to make sound data architectural recommendations.
  • Experience with architecture design concepts and techniques and the ability to communicate those concepts to a broad based team
  • This role must have a passion for providing ‘best practices’ and data solutions to meet the data needs of our business
  • Responsible for enterprise-wide data design, data modeling, meta-data management and enterprise data integration

 

 


Job Requirements 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years overall IT experience
  • 8+ years data architecture experience relative to data warehouse design, BI solution delivery and master data management
  • 5+ years leading technical projects efforts including project planning, design, build, test, and data conversion/migration
  • Proven experience with different EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc) and Service or Component Architectures
  • Proven experience implementing large scale MDM solutions

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience building and maturing EA organizations and processes
  • Experience working at the Enterprise level
  • Hands on experience delivering SOA-based solutions
  • Exceptional Client Relationship Management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
