Job Description 

Purpose of Position
Develop and maintain customer/carrier relationships that will have a positive gross revenue and net income impact on LinkAmerica Logistics and the LinkAmerica organization. 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Possess a thorough understanding of LinkAmerica Logistics mission, values, and business objectives.

  • Make daily calls to customers and potential customers to solicit freight

  • Develop and maintain logistic accounts through building and maintaining effective customer relationships.

  • Responsible for successfully implementing the sales strategy in order to achieve sales and profitability targets.

  • Participate in the development of competitive lane pricing with marketing services.

  • Maintain an acceptable level of performance in achieving the core gross revenue/profit targets.

  • Exude passion as a team member focused on LinkAmerica reaching 10 million dollars in gross revenue within a three year period

 


Job Requirements 

Qualifications

 

  • Successful sales experience within the transportation industry selling truckloads, partials and intermodal services is a plus

  • Proven ability to establish new customer relationships and open accounts that generate a positive gross revenue.

  • Ability to gather appropriate information and analyze it in order to develop and implement effective logistics/brokerage accounts.

  • Prefer to be compensated with a competitive commission program.

  • Prefer related experience in a fast-growing entrepreneurial company.

  • Communication - Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations and reports, and to communicate in terms understandable by the customer.

  • Sense of Urgency – Action-oriented, with a sense of urgency and responsiveness in meeting the business needs.

  • Computer Proficiency – Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including Microsoft Office Product Suite.
