Rehab Director

Description

The Director of Rehab guides and manages the overall provision of therapy services provided by the agency. Job responsibilities include recruiting, training, and monitoring of agency therapy staff and contractors. The Director is also responsible for interaction with the agency management team to assure quality patient care through the proper  utilization of it's therapy services. In addition, the Director of Rehab will participate in practicing good fiscal planning as it relates to agency growth and development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, Local regulations as well as JCAHO Home Care Standards.

Directs, coordinates and evaluate patient care.

Ensures supervision of field staff is in accordance with regulations.

Develops and maintains an active quality management program.

Participates in fiscal oversight of therapy services.

Maintains working knowledge of full-time employees, field staff and productivity.

Directs community education, outreach and public relations activities on an ongoing basis.

Encourages ongoing development with Branch staff.

Complies with HIPPA privacy regulations and maintains confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist (State of Louisiana) (current and in good standing)
Two years experience as a physical therapist, occupational therapist, or speech therapist with a minimum of one year of home health experience within the last two years as a Director, Manager, or Supervisor.

Required, previous management experience.
