                                                                           Nurse Unit Director Critical Care 
 
My client, a hospital that is growing rapidly, is in need of a Director to oversee an ICU bed unit. This Director will oversee 30 beds, and have a team of 80 FTE's, along with 3 Assistant Managers. This Director will be responsible for budgeting, staffing, scheduling, recruitement, mentoring, educating, disciplining, and patient care activity. This Director will have a strong team report to them, and be very customer service focused. This Director will also be part of the Administrative team, and be instrumental in all decision making. My client hospital is building new bed units with expansion plans. My client offers strong opportunities for personal growth with the hospital system and an opportunity for lucrative income.
Requirements
  • Licensed RN, with a BSN preferred.  
  • 2+ years in a Management role overseeing an ICU bed unit.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.   
  • Must have experience with JCAHO preparedness and patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Ability to problem solve and promote critical thinking.
