DIRECTOR OF SALES

 

SUMMARY:  Plans and implements sales programs and initiatives to meet company goals.  Leads and develops sales staff in achieving annual sales targets.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·   Develops annual sales plan in support of Sightlines’ organizational strategy and objectives

·   Develops and manages sales operating budget

·   Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

·   Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.

·   Directs implementation and execution of sales strategies and practices.

·   Coordinates with Marketing and Operations to ensure support to meet Sales objectives.

·   Builds, develops and manages solution sales team capable of carrying out needed sales initiatives, including hiring, performance management, training, etc.

·   Meets with key clients, assisting Sales staff with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

·   Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

·   Establishes and maintains good relationships within Sightlines, collaborating across the organization to accomplish company goals and objectives.

·   Prepares sales reports, reviews and analyzes sales performance against programs to determine effectiveness.

·         Development of top “A" talent within the sales force

·         Effectively manage sales budget

Requirements · Bachelors in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred, with minimum of 5 years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.

· Demonstrated Sales skills, including negotiating and closing skills.

· Leadership skills, 5+ yrs experience effectively leading people and obtaining results through others.

· Strong planning skills, with a demonstrated ability to think and plan over a 1-2 year time span.

· Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

· Experience developing and deploying sales systems

· Experience and ability to train/coach others

· Strong customer orientation; ability to communicate the voice of the customer to the rest of the company

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills.  Ability to present at executive level.

· Innovation skills; displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness.

· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office software, Salesforce (or similar Sales tool).

· Strong collaboration skills.
