Engineering/Technology Manager

Summary: 

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader that demonstrates initiative, responsibility, and the ability to drive multiple initiatives successfully.  You will responsible for improving product quality, implementing process control, and developing strength in our technical team.  You will be accountable for metrics such as scrap, process capability, rework, and customer returns.  This position reports to the General Manager and will be part of the division leadership team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize engineering team around current manufacturing processes
• Establish process control of those processes
• Participate in, lead, and execute continuous improvement projects
• Lead technical team to accomplish business objectives

Experience Preferred:

• 10+ years experience in an aerospace engineering leadership position
• Demonstrated experience in implementing process control, SPC, lean, six sigma, kaizen, and other improvement methodologies
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a competitive aerospace environment.

Requisites:

• Bachelors or associate degree required, in a technical field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports
• Demonstrated action and results orientation
• Problem-solving experience and successes
