Content Producer I

Our Client, Cycling Sports Group (CSG), a division of Dorel Industries, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-end bicycles, apparel, footwear, and accessories.

Position Summary:

The Content Producer will create and maintain all content (new and existing) presented on Cycling Sports Group web sites. The Content Producer will work with marketing/product and design teams to understand needs and deliverables for new websites, web pages, ad campaigns, email marketing and a wide variety of web and interactive content.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Identify, gather, develop and manage diverse content (graphic, image optimization, animation and brief copywriting) along with technical requirements and site architecture diagrams, to produce accessible, standards- compliant web site on schedule and within budget

• Communicate project taxonomy to the web team and clients in the form of Wire Frames

• Meet with clients (internal) to scope future projects and understand client expectations

• Use both Content Management Systems and traditional HTML to develop

• Migrates content from legacy sites to CMS based platform

• Email marketing execution

• Continuous clean up of content database

• Deliver for both BTB/BTC audiences

Travel Responsibilities:

Possibility of minimal travel to Asia

Basic Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of CSS, HTML, JavaScript and basic understanding of XML, basic understanding of database integration, content management systems and PHP

• Proficient in basic Flash animations

• Understanding of blogging software (ie. WordPress)

• Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Fireworks, ImageReady, Dreamweaver and HTML/CSS

• Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills

• Possess a love of or interest in bicycling

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in a web related curriculum

  Plus a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a professional web production environment

• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
