SUMMARY
Works with all facets of process development, implementation and continuous improvement activities for the repair station.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Provides technical/administrative support for aircraft completions, aircraft repairs, and/or component overhaul/repairs
- Uses problem-solving techniques for root cause analysis and implements preventive/corrective actions
- Works with Chief Inspector to create, develop, implement, and maintain repair station data system (manuals, forms, documents, planning/work orders, logs, etc.) per MDHI CRS requirements and procedures.
· Research applicable directives, bulletins, and notices (Ads, SBs, TBs, etc.) for aircraft/components worked in the MDHI repair station
· Track scheduled maintenance(s) for all MDHI training aircraft
· Interact with MDHI procurement and/or engineering as necessary to develop required item masters, BOMs (Bill of Material), and material lists
· Create or amend planning/work orders (work instructions) per MDHI RSM requirements and procedures
- Reviews all work order packages for completeness
- Maintains library of blue prints used during the build process for all parts and or entire helicopter
- Maintains closed planning/work order files; ensure documents and files are held within the storage compliance per 14 CFR Part 145
- Drive toward process optimization, quality improvement and cost reduction
- Interface and coordinate with the local FAA representative
- Champion the process of scrap and labor variance reduction/elimination
- Coordinates audit inspection for repair station
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or University; and 5-8 years work-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· 3-5 years of process improvement experience required
· Must have demonstrated technical ability, flexibility and the ability to handle a variety of tasks, often with short notice
· Technical knowledge of the single and twin helicopter preferred
· Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to interact well with other internal organizations and a variety of external organizations
· Manage a variety of tasks and duties working effectively under pressure and shifting deadlines
· Must be goal-driven; able to achieve superior results with minimal supervision
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
· Regular attendance is required
