Leave of Absence and Benefits Specialist
Position Summary:
Responsible to serve as point of contact for all AMN employees regarding payroll, benefit, compensation, employee relations, talent acquisition, unemployment, LOA and HR policy and procedure related questions and resolve moderately complex to difficult issues with minimal guidance from HR Service Center Team Leader. Will be responsible for managing HR related projects and tasks (Wellness Program, HR Audits, filing, etc.) during scheduled time off of the phones.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible to serve as point of contact for all AMN employees regarding payroll, benefit, compensation, employee relations, talent acquisition, unemployment, LOA and HR policy and procedure related questions and resolve moderately complex to difficult issues with minimal guidance from HR Service Center Team Leader. Will be responsible for managing HR related projects and tasks (Wellness Program, HR Audits, filing, etc.) during scheduled time off of the phones.
- Utilize workflow functionality to process HR related tasks in Workday
- Using relatively thorough knowledge of company structure, HR policy and procedures as well as HR internal processes, troubleshoot and resolve issues ranging from simple questions to moderately detailed and complex issues.
- Educate employees on company practices and tools such as the company website and Manager and Employee Self Service vehicles to encourage company employees to resolve and process future minor questions on their own, therefore enabling reduction of call volume to support more efficient traffic on higher profile questions and issues within the Call Center.
- Analyze, audit and reconcile various deductions and earnings including but not limited to commissions, bonuses, 401k, and taxes in response to inquiries.
- Using excellent communication, customer service and negotiating skills, provide employees accurate, consistent and timely responses and explanations regarding HR related questions and issues. Focus on setting expectation level for employee and demonstrating customer driven ethics.

Essential Skills and Requirements:
- College degree with emphasis in HR preferred
- One year of HR, training ro recruiting experience
- Strong technical ability
- Demonstrated ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor
- Strong emphasis on customer service excellence
