Job Description 

  •  Provides legal and compliance counsel to management staff
  • Makes enhancements to and oversees the Corporate Compliance Program while exercising due diligence and sound internal controls to operate with high standards of ethical conduct and protect against legal risk
  • Monitors legal and regulatory compliance of systems and takes necessary action to ensure continued compliance to internal and external guidelines and regulations
  • Assures that compliance structures and procedures are in place and in compliance
  • Oversees adequate coverage of compliance issues
  • Anticipates and reacts to regulatory compliance forces through active involvement with industry associations and governmental bodies
  • Coaches and develops management to support regulatory change and the business
 


Job Requirements 

  • Juris Doctorate, Licensed Attorney

  • 5-7 years of compliance experience

  • In-depth understanding of ethical and compliance issues as they apply to operations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to engage a wide range of audiences

BUSINESS SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED):

  • Compliance experience with a law firm, insurer, government contractor or regulatory agency

  • Candidates with past experience creating, implementing and operating compliance and integrity programs
