Business Office Manager-- Director of Administrative Services 

Lincoln Technical Institute,(formerly Baran Institute of Technology) located in East Windsor, CT, is seeking a Business Office Manager. This position requires an individual who has excellent accounting skills with the ability to apply them in an extremely fast-paced office.

You will interact heavily with the Financial Aid Department; therefore knowledge of Financial Aid laws and practices is a big plus. The Manager must be a good supervisor with excellent communications and analytical skills. 

We are looking for an accountant with experience in vocational education setting.  Your job responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

  • The primary function of this position is to oversee the school's business office, create budgets and prepare month-end closings. You will also receive and post funds on a timely basis
  • Student interactions including: tuition receipts, directing and assisting in addressing student’s daily concerns, assisting in population changes (starts, graduates, etc.)

 

  • Inventory of Campus Book Store to include ordering, stocking, distribution, weekly and monthly reconciliation.

 

  • Accounts Payable – will be responsible for the reconciliation and recording of all campus expenses. Will include requesting payment through corporate office, constant vendor interaction, and will require strong organizational skills.

 

  • General Office Responsibilities – candidate will be expected to handle the general office needs such as filing, creating new vendor and student folders and maintaining other vital document.
 

 

Job Requirements
 

BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED. Candidates must have experience in AP/AR, budgeting, general ledger, account reconciliation. Selected individual will be proficient in MS Word and Excel and have excellent time management and customer service skills. This is a full time position, hours will include one evening a week.
