Our client is a leading global supplier of specialty chemicals and performance-enhancing products for a wide variety of personal care, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and industrial applications. Our client produces more than 400 specialty chemicals, which it markets and sells worldwide.

 
Our client has an opening for a RELIABILITY ENGINEER at their manufacturing facility in Port Neches, Texas (near Beaumont, TX and 2 hours east of Houston).  Some job responsibilities for this position include:

 
  • Analyze existing and new mechanical systems such as piping, vessels, dewatering processes, packaging and rotating equipment to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Plant operations.  
  • Evaluate/monitor rotating equipment to improve performance, reliability and increased stream factor
  • Oversee all process and utilities refrigeration systems
  • Provide consulting services for evaluation of piping, vessels, pumps, agitators, dewatering presses, cooling towers, compressors, steam turbines and any other equipment requested by the Engineering Manager
  • Assist in the operations to improve plant up time.  Use prior experience in the utility plant to train new personnel in all aspects of its equipment and water treatment.
  • Evaluate equipment deficiencies and develop a course of action along with cost to economically resolve and improve performance
  • Direct field work as required and make the decisions necessary to get the project/maintenance work completed.
  • Prioritize work regarding projects, routine production and maintenance requests
  • Assist in launching a back to basics training program for all direct/contract maintenance personnel with a two-fold goal of improving quality and developing a self-managed safe work force

 

 

 

 

 
Requirements
  • BS degree in Engineering
  • 10-15 years of experience performing mechanical engineering or related functions
  • Design and installation of rotating equipment, vessel, heat exchangers and piping systems preferred
  • Strong background in vibration analysis a plus
  • Familiar with and working knowledge of ASME B31.3 codes, OSHA 1910.119 regulations and local TCEQ regulations
Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA on a full time basis without the need for sponsorship.  Must be a permanent resident or US citizen to be considered for this position.
