One of the most dynamic, innovative and forward thinking departments at Republic Media is the Market Development department.  Composed of three primary sections this supercharged group of employees “gets it" and gets it done.  Made up of Research and Development, the Client Solutions Group, Marketing and Planning/Communications this department is involved in everything from conducting research, which provides a thorough understanding of our market, audiences, potential opportunities and the performance of our products within our market to creating and executing the branding campaigns that effectively position products within our markets.

We are currently seeking a Single Copy Promotions Specialist to join our Market Development team.  Our Single Copy Promotions Specialist will maximize single copy sales results by securing premium placement at targeted retailers’ locations through strategic and creative promotions. They will work closely with the Circulation team to ensure they are able to execute various promotions with the retailers and store management.

To accomplish this, they will:

·         Develop strategic plans to identify and secure targeted retailers

·         Build relationships and develop partnerships with key retailers

·         Serve as primary contact for key retailers tied to promotional efforts

·         Develop co-promotions based on targeted retailers’ business objectives (drive traffic, charitable affiliations, branding, etc.)

·         Conduct a minimum of three promotions each quarter

·        Actively build new business through prospecting and cold-calling via telephone, e-mail and face-to-face interactions.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of four years marketing and/or sales experience and the ability to build relationships with retailers.  They must have strong negotiation and project management skills, and effective interpersonal communication skills.  To be successful, they must be able to develop strategic plans, have the ability to give individual and group presentations, and conduct effective promotions.  They should also be a creative self-starter with a positive attitude and team player mentality.   Requirements also include a degree in Marketing, Communications or related field and a valid AZ driver license, minimum state liability insurance and access to a vehicle.
