Job Description 

Clinical Manager II - Cardiac IMU

This position is located in the Texas Medical Center

With a dynamic team of affiliated cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and clinicians to coordinate the best treatment plans for patients, the Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute-Texas Medical Center offers innovative solutions in cardiovascular care for improved outcomes and increased patient satisfaction.

As the only freestanding heart hospital int he TMC, the new 230,000 square foot Institute features a full continuum of heart and vascular care, including noninvasive cardiology and peripheral, invasive cardiology; peripheral, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery; and cardiac rehabilitation.  The facility is the state's most modern, housing 147 patient beds, including a 20 bed short-stay unit, cardiovascular intensive care unit, cardiology care unit and 6 cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs.

In additional to earning the Thomson Top 100 Hospitals:  Cardiovascular Benchmarks for Success designation for 3 consecutive years, our Institute was the first hospital in Texas to give patients clot-dissolving drugs to stop heart attacks and to offer cardiac risk screenings specifically for women.

 


Job Requirements 

Clinical Manager II - Cardiac IMU

1.  Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing;
2.  Bachelor's degree or educational plan to complete degree.
3. Completion of management/leadership training programs as designated by the institution within first year of employment.
4. Current State of Texas license/permit to practice professional nursing.
5. Completion of Basic Life Support or other certification based on nursing unit requirements. 6. Three or more years experience in cardiovascular ICU/IMU.
7. One or more years supervisory or management experience.
8. Professional Certification in clinical area or management.
