System Developers – Levels I, II, III

 

The Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking individuals for development and production support of web applications.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of technical and non-technical staff are required.  Skills desired include Visual Studio (ASP) .NET 2005 or above, HTML, Ajax, SQL Server and TFS.  Experience with MQ Series, scanning, imaging systems and the Agile software development process is considered a plus.  Your focus will be to participate in developing and/or providing production support for our interactive web based (E-Filing) application.  This position requires a person with excellent team project skills and technical ability.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

Level I –

General Experience: Three years of experience in the computer programming.
Substitutions Allowed: A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or a related field and one year of experience at or above the level of Systems Developer Trainee may be substituted for the General Experience.

Level II –

General Experience:  Six years of experience in the preparation of computer programs.

Substitutions Allowed:  College training in Management Information Systems or a related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of four years for a Bachelor's degree.

Level III –

General Experience:  Eight years of experience in computer programming and systems analysis.

Special Experience:  Two years of the General Experience must have been in the design and development of computer applications.  For current employees, this will be interpreted as two years of experience as a Systems Developer II.

Substitutions Allowed:  College training in Management Information Systems or a related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of four  years for a Bachelor's degree. 

A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the one additional year of the General Experience.
