LPN JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist physician/medical director as needed
Assist lead nurse as needed
Enter and review physician's order prior to medicating patient.
Assess patients during the titration and follow through with all doctor’s orders.
Assess patients on a daily basis for stability
Receive verbal orders via phone from physician if needed.
Write up any "unusual incidents" regarding the safety of the medications or suspected diversion.
Write nursing notes as needed.
Write nursing notes and verbal orders in a timely manner.
Sign patient medication summaries daily.
Enter all doctors orders into computer
Read all TB tests
Obtain random drug screens from patients and enter all results into computer system.
Obtain copies of all patient medications and enter information into computer system
Will participate in all weekly treatment team meetings.
Medication Audit
Audit and Inventory total milligrams administered, total number of take-outs given and total milligrams of take-outs dispensed at the end of day.
Audit individual medications units in safe - count the units daily.
Perform a check and balance against the inventory in the computer.
Pharmacy Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist with labeling medication bottles;
- Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and company regulations
- Responsible for administering individual medication doses as well as distribution of take-home medication under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
- Assist pharmacist in the inventory of medications, in accordance with local, state, federal and company regulations.
Requirements
Private Warner Robins outpatient substance abuse program has a current opening for a fulltime LPN to work T-F 5:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. 3 Saturdays a month from 7:15 a.m. –10:00 a.m. Requirements: Active Georgia LPN license, no felony convictions and able to pass random drug screens.
