Description
Hanwha L & C Alabama, a leading manufacturer of molded plastic parts to the automotive industry, has an immediate opening for a Process and Maintenance Engineer. This position reports to the Senior Process and Maintenance Engineer and is responsible for supervising the day to day activities fo the plant's maintenance crews and working to implement new processes and products into the plant as well as improving exisiting processes. The ideal candidate will have a B. S. degree in Chemical Engineering and 1 to 3 years of experience. the company offers an excellent benefit package including 401K, health, vision, dental, life, disability and tuition reimbursement.
Function:
Essential:
· Provide leadership to all maintenance associates for maintaining safety, quality, production, and maintenance levels as set by the company.
· Support process changes by implementing systems to ensure compliance with all customer requirements and TS16949 system requirements for all continual improvement efforts and understanding the consequences of the product/process not meeting the standard or customer’s quality requirements.
· Assure compliance with all company policies and environmental, health, and safety rules.
· Assist in the training and development of maintenance and production associates for the process and maintenance as applicable.
· Assure compliance with TS16949 and ISO14001 operating systems.
· Provide all required maintenance and production reports.
· Assist in Lean Initiative and Training to all personnel.
· Work closely with Production and Quality Engineers to ensure compliance for all process and maintenance activities.
· Set-up and maintain Preventive Maintenance policies, procedures, and schedule, along with keeping proper records.
· Provide engineering support to Production Manager as required.
· Define process setting and start-up.
· Develop process and enhance working conditions of equipment and employees.
· Design processes and automation.
· Analyze daily and monthly production data.
· Project management for all process enhancement and new processes.
· Assist in APQP process.
Non-Essential:
· Assist in developing work instructions, procedures, hazard analysis and other written documentation for both the process and maintenance.
· Maintain appropriate records pertaining to Maintenance Associates.
· Prepare investigative reports on issues in the maintenance area.
· Coach and counsel associates.

Requirements
Education/Background/Experience:
- Requires 1 to 3 years experience, in a manufacturing setting.
- Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related field, with experience in supervision, engineering, maintenance, and training.
- Prior experience with TS16949 preferred.
- Position also requires strong verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills.
- Individual must be computer literate with proven leadership skills.
- Preferably has knowledge of automation, especially robot system.
